Company History
Three decades ago, during the spring of 1983, Ron Reshefsky founded Century Financial Services, an independent all lines insurance agency in Palm Beach County that, under his leadership as President and CEO, became that County’s largest. In 1997, national insurance broker Summit Global Partners acquired CFS, and in 2004, that broker was acquired by the 9th largest broker in the U.S., USI Insurance Services.
In 2013 Ron returns to the independent agency arena to re-create the culture, environment, excitement, and success of the earlier insurance firm, again based in Boca Raton, Florida. Its name—Century Risk Advisors—is a reflection of its operations: Consultative Insurance and Risk Management Agents & Brokers. While a relatively newly-organized business, it reunites several highly-experienced key individuals who had contributed to the success of the earlier organization, joined by other talented risk management professionals. And the word Century is indeed highly descriptive: CRA offers its Clients literally more than a century of proven Risk Management and Insurance Brokerage experience.
The timing is appropriate to challenge the existing regional agencies and to compete with the middle market business strategies of the top national brokers. Being private and independently owned allows for flexibility in approaches, but without wavering from the strongest ethics and solid, prodigious principles.
